A Walton’s Family Reunion

As the lead in to The Waltons joining the Inspiration Network schedule, a reunion of the surviving family cast members has been recorded. Mary McDonough interviews Richard Thomas in New York, and then the other family members around the dining table in a special where the cast members reminisce about the show and remember different stories related to the show. Of course, the creator of the show, Earl Hamner, was also present.

This will air just before the first rerun, on Monday 18th October, at 7 pm, with a repeat at 1 pm on Tuesday 19th October. The first Waltons episode to air will be The Foundling. A Walton’s Family Reunion will also air again on Friday 22nd October at 7 pm.

If you have a Facebook account, there are lots of photos from the filming from the Inspiration Network’s Facebook page. There’s more photos posted by Jon Walmsley on his Facebook  page too.

Several other cast members have Fan Facebook pages too, so have a search.

  1. Will the waltons be just a special or will it start showing all of the shows?

    • The special runs for an hour and is new. The network will then start showing the series again from the first season. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. My cable provider does not have the Inspiratin Network. Will the Walton’s Reunion be shown on cable anytime soon. I have Comcast and would like to watch it. I have everything on dvd about the Waltons and want this too. Could someone get in touch with me, Mary McDonough or Earl Hamner and let me know? My email is I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
